Induction into the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame is a career award, honoring an individual who has by his or her years of individual significant career contributions** advanced the sport of scuba diving and international dive travel.

In rare cases, an individual may be inducted for a single outstanding achievement, but such cases are uncommon.
Early Pioneer

Early Pioneers are those people whose contributions laid the foundation on which our sport was built. These divers introduced the masks, fins, snorkel, scuba tank, scuba regulator, and training programs, and they shot the early films and photographs of the sport. These are the trailblazers that we have all followed.
Criteria for submission:
In order to be considered for this award, the individual must have made a significant contribution by leading or aiding in the areas of water sports & dive in the Cayman Islands through:

- Development of the dive and/or watersports industry in the Cayman Islands

- Promotion of the dive and/or watersports industry in the Cayman Islands

** A significant contribution refers to an individual who has led or aided in the development, promotion, or safety of scuba diving in a manner that has had a positive impact on the overall sport. The contribution may be made in the areas of dive travel, entertainment, art, equipment design & development, education, exploration, and adventure.
